Beskrivelse
Welcome to volume three of Conversations with Mr. Hooker. The beginning of this book is made up of lyrics and some raps then flows through to poetry. The subject matter here covers most things that you might have a conversation with Mr. Hooker about there are love poems including one about a first kiss that is still remembered today. We will have some conversations about family including one for the youngest of the grands and one very personal one to all my grands. If you have read volumes one and two you know that God quite often comes up in our conversations and this is true in volume three. We talk about what meeting God in heaven might be like, I like to take a liberal amount space to say thank you and to tell God I am grateful. We will also talk about pets including one about the world famous Toby two poops, or at least he thinks he should be famous. Including another one about the passing of one of the elder dogs in the family, his name was Jackson and was beloved dog. Some political stuff and if you have read my other books you know I am not a republican fan. The rap in the first section "I am gray and here to stay a little longer" I think gets my feelings across. We visit some of the old subjects and places, the Columbia River has another poem, and the Gorge is in or inferred in several works. And of course I am an old bar guy so the Tarwater which is my favorite bar here in White Salmon appears in a couple of works. And no I have no financial interest in the Tarwater, LOL. And being a 420 friendly guy weed is a conversation subject a couple of times. The little rap / poem "420 today" was written on a bar napkin when I suddenly realized that is was 11:45PM on 420. I pulled that one out of the air real quick so I could say it was done that day. I am now using Instagram to promote the books and there are some clips of my reading poems and a about the author video as well. The Instagram account is #conversations.mr.hooker . The poem "Cold toenails" was written last winter, I had set it to the side as not worthy but after a while it started to grow on me so here it is. "My life on film" was just a fun one that was inspired watching a sitcom one evening. So there you are book three was a lot of fun for me I hope you enjoy it as well.
