Beskrivelse
Confessions of an underground psychedelic psychotherapist is a creative non-fiction set in a dystopian near future.
Dr. Ami Stella, (Dr. S) a psychiatrist, is detained for her involvement in psychedelic psychotherapy. She is incarcerated in a remand centre while Dr. Thomas Dobber (Thomas), a police forensic psychologist, prepares a thorough assessment of her and her practice.
Dr S. explains psychedelic assisted therapy, starting with her own exploration of plant medicines. Her case studies progress from patients needing resolution of personal trauma, to familial and ancestral trauma and then into a mysterious realm of therapy- healing Gaian mind.
Dr Stella must convince Thomas that her practice was responsible and she should not be charged with negligence or harmful practices. While Dr S is incarcerated, she experiences her own journey of self discovery; living with political prisoners like her, engaging with her police escort, Maria, and the tragedies which follow while she is away from her home.
