Commissioned with Power explains that God has called, commissioned, and empowered us to destroy the works of the devil. The devil has enslaved and bound people with sins, sicknesses, pains, poverty, and many other numerous things; we have been authorized and empowered to do the Lord's Work. Speaking of our ability, the Word says, "Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world." the Word says, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who oppressed; to proclaim the Acceptable Year of the Lord" (Lk. 4:18-19).
