Now a revered Nagchaw elder, Jos reminisces about the lessons learned since her life took a dramatic shift in her mid-twenties. Needing to redefine herself after a family tragedy, Jos goes forward in a challenging new direction.

Ultimately, she moves on to the ancestral home of the Yellowbird clan and becomes the Director of the Nagchaw Cultural Center.

A crisis looms when a former math and science teacher now living in Nagchaw circulates a petition to have her ousted. Will Jos be disgraced and lose the directorship?
