When a mysterious spell takes over Pendle Island Chelsea and her friends find themselves transported back to high school, oblivious that anything is amiss. They say high school can be murder, Chelsea didn't realize just how literal that was.

Chelsea's familiar Artemis seems to be one of the only people aware that something is wrong, but when he tries to alert Chelsea that she and the island's inhabitants are living in an illusion, he soon realizes that getting a teenager to listen to you isn't always that easy.

Between teenage drama and the stress of a volatile high school relationship, Chelsea soon opens her eyes and notices that life doesn't quite add up. How can she be the same age as her mom, and how can they be at high school together?

As adolescent hormones run wild the winds of change sweep across Pendle Island. New friendships are forged, old ones are broken, and Chelsea learns more about her family history, discovering that the Sponks family once had an ancient feud with another sect of witches.
