Comanche and the Mex Girl

It's 1878. Fort Richardson closes. Feisty laundress, Elena Wade, a sixteen-year-old Anglo/Mexican seizes the moment, takes the gold coins found in the laundry sheets, lifts a brand new Army issue Colt from the supply room, buys a horse, and takes off for the Chisholm Trail in search of the American father she's never known. Matters need to be settled. Nakiguhat, a seventeen-year-old clever, renegade Comanche is off the Indian Territory looking for ponies to bring back to his father, who is pining away on the reservation. It will be good medicine for him. Elena and Nakiguaht's paths cross on the Chisolm Trail. She has no choice but to join with him to combat bandits, a stampede, and a posse. They take refuse in the Territory but soon their past bites back. Arrested by a patrol, it will take more than a clever Comanche and a feisty Anglo/Mexican to escape jail time and a hanging.
