All of life's a painting. How you choose to use the colors you're given to paint your life's masterpiece is totally up to you. For J. Walton, a debilitating disability did not stop her from creating a masterpiece that rivals the Mona Lisa in scope, depth and brilliance, even if the colors are outside the lines. Who created those lines anyway?Through a series of misadventures, mishaps, triumphant highs, and devastating lows, we follow her journey as she navigates living with cerebral palsy.J. Walton is well-suited to write a book on joy. Born with cerebral palsy, she has had to fight for every ounce of joy she has obtained and has not allowed the disease to define or prevent her from living her best life. Born in Texas, and raised in Northern California, she eventually moved back to her West Texas roots in her mid-twenties.While in Texas, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and a Master of Arts in Counseling. She has worked for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission and also on her family ranch.Over her lifetime, she has traveled to several countries and more than thirty states. Her favorite adrenaline rushes include zip-lining, skiing and parasailing with friends and family. Coloring Outside the Lines is her first book with plans to write many more.
