Picking up where their island hopping adventures left off, Jack and company go inland, where they discover (what may or may not be) a fountain of youth, a lost Seminole empire, Rip Van Winkle, and Teela the mermaid as a barmaid. The volume concludes with a new ship and a showdown with the notorious pirate Smokebeard.
