This book is a biography of one of America's pioneer high school coaches. Robert Ripley featured Smith and his 1937 team in his "Believe it or not" publications as the nation's most successful. Boyce Smith coached for 44 years, the Springfield High School Yellow Jackets in Springfield, Tennessee, with only three losing seasons, which earned him enshrinement in the Tennessee and national halls of Fame. His 1937 team led the nation in scoring and was featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not as the "Point a Minute Team."
