Beskrivelse
The ongoing climatic change that the Earth is facing appears on the media almost every day, and yet sometimes it seems that its mere existence is debated. In this book we explain how small changes that mankind has made to the composition of the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels led to the climate change that now endangers humanity's wellbeing. This book contains lively paintings by Valentina Golijov, which together with short, simple and clear sentences, make the story of climate change easy to comprehend.
We are a couple of geologists and the lucky parents of two amazing and curious children. We have both acquired multiple academic degrees in Earth sciences, geology, environmental sciences, and hydrology. Gal works primarily with stable isotopes of oxygen, hydrogen and carbon, whereas Yoav uses different tools to address geological and environmental challenges. We believe that introducing scientific concepts at a young age is crucial for raising intelligent and inquisitive children, and have established The Earth for Toddlers book series so you can do so as well. In this book we collaborated with Valentina Golijov in order to make the explanations in this book simple and easy to follow together with beautiful paintings.
