Claudia and Sunny

Claudia lives on the coast in the 1900s. Her parents die, and Claudia is heartbroken until she finds a horse, whom she names Sunny. Claudia soon finds out her Ma also had a race-winning horse, and wants to go to Ma's hometown to fulfill her dreams. When she gets there, she makes her first step to this goal by training to race horse, despite the derision of another horse racer, Jenny. In a snap, Claudia finds herself in a horse race. Will Claudia win the race with all her training? Or will she have to suffer teasing and bragging from Jenny, disappointing her friends, and worse yet, the fact that she can't even experience what Ma did?
