Civil War Memoirs

The autobiography of William C. Thomas recounts his experiences as a Civil War Union Soldier, who was twice wounded in action and was a prisoner of war in Confederate camps. While the majority of the publication involves his Civil War experiences, he also provides insights regarding his family and childhood in the mid 1800's, as well as life following the Civil War through the early years of the 20th century.
