Many years ago, in the bygone years of his eldest youth (i.e. 'college'), Mishka was sitting in an American lit. class in the midst of a discussion about the poetry of Walt Whitman... and he thought, "Wouldn't it be ironic (or mayhap extremely apropos?) if the poetry in 'Leaves of Grass' had actually all been about grass..." But that seemed fairly tedious. Really, how much can you say about grass? And, anyway, something original might be better, so... what could a Mishka do? Sky (Uh-brilliant ) Butanyhooo...] Incrementally speaking, however, how would one describe sky? Well, clearly: chunks And so there was-at that particular moment of inspiration at least the very notion thereof-'Chunks of Sky'... ("Dedicated to Walt Whitman, whose poetry, quite frankly, I just never really cared for." Oh, Well ) And over the course of several years Mishka wrote a plethora of chunks... and then (apparently) just forgot all about them. Until now For they have been rediscovered (and/or idly unforgotten?)... some few chunks had finagled their way into other anthologies-but now, for the first time, all of the chunks in their entirety and consummate all-togetherness, appear in this lovely, voluminous tome. And so, without further ado, Mishka is proud to present... Chunks of Sky...
