Chokher Bali

Aargh ki kirkiri is a translation of the Nobel laureate's famous Bengali novel Chokher Bali. It reflects the social issues present in the time when Tagore wrote, and deftly explores the complex human emotions and relationships. Through the story of the widow Binodini and her relationship with Mahendra, Behari, Asha, Tagore portrays that no matter how many arduous the path of love is, true love will never be overpowered by lust.
