In the NICU babies are surrounded by technology to improve and secure their lives. For brothers and sisters at home, it can be a confusing and scary place. During a difficult and emotional time, "Chirp's Lullaby," when shared by parent and child, creates a simple understanding of what happens in the NICU. This interactive storybook gives children a peek into the NICU, and into a special friendship between a baby bird nesting on the windowsill, and tiny Emma inside. This joyful story, created for 3 to 7 year old siblings, is brimming with hope...and sprinkled with love. After conversations with the NICU moms whose infants appeared in "Chirp's Lullaby," I discovered the need for a NICU journal. "Chirp's Lullaby...Tiny Tales" was created. This journal captures the details of the NICU experience and allows it to be remembered and shared in years to come. Both "Chirp's Lullaby" and "Chirp's Lullaby...Tiny Tales" are available separately.
