STUDENT BOOK 4B: Children's ESL Curriculum, A Dangerous Encounter Second Edition in Color, has an interest level suitable for ESL students of 9 to 12 years. It has 14 lessons and 73 pages. The story continues from Book 4A, using and reviewing the concepts and vocabulary. It stresses oral communication. This is the eighth set in a series of 10 sets, each comprising three books: Student Book, Practice Book and a Teacher's Guide with a Final Test, Test answers and Student Book answers. Each ESL lesson provides listening, speaking through role-plays and paragraph reading and printing The grammar is sequentially introduced including: long and short vowels, vowel digraphs and diphthongs, common nouns, proper nouns and pronouns, verbs, comparatives and punctuation. To provide for easy presentation, the teacher's instructions are written in small boxes on the student's pages.
