Dennis Brunt, a rookie tax attorney, can't understand why Gerhard Schmidt wants his involvement in the case when Schmidt is charged with serious felonies, including drug dealing, illegal arms trading, and money laundering. The only connection they seem to have is that they're both Argentinian.
But that connection is tenuous at best. Dennis remembers very little about Argentina since his adoptive parents raised him in America from a very young age. But this is a direct order from the managing attorney, so Dennis can't say no.
Despite his misgivings, Dennis knows this high-profile case could serve as a springboard for his career.
