By transporting us to that majestic place of the raw beauty of the heart and genuine connections between others, Rosalind unplugs us from the bustle of our busy lives. This is a treasure trove of precious, literary gems. Her words encourage us to live with a gentler and quieter perspective in harmony with the beauty around us, within us and with each other. - Phyllis-Marie Healey, Author, Embracing Life: Finding Your Way Through Loss and Grief Cherish the Moment is the third book written by the author to pay tribute to the many ordinary people who have created so many moments to cherish. It follows the author's earlier books, Speak Their Name and Honour the Memory, in that each poem tells a story and each story is unique in its inspiration. These books of poetry are the author's way of honouring all life and capturing precious moments in time, responding to the mystery of life, holding dear the memories of each day and respecting the beauty and dignity of all life. Rosalind Reardon Pinsent is a retired teacher who lives in Bellevue, Newfoundland and Labrador, with her husband, Jim, and their son, Perry. From her home, tucked in a beautiful harbour, she continues to be inspired by the beauty of the people and the community around her. Originally from Bell Island in Conception Bay, she remains faithful to her mining town roots. Her personal journey is fascinating in that she leaves no stone unturned in doing what she loves and sharing the memories that are created by doing so. Her devotion to family, friends, those in need, and all those she meets provides the inspiration for her thoughts. Cherish the Moment is her way of showing love and appreciation and deep gratitude for all that her life holds.
