A very old, mysterious chest, which only certain people are able to open, falls into the hands of Chelzy, Matthew, and Tory, friends who are collectively known as The Trio. Both leery and curious about any treasures, or even dangers, that the coffer may hold, The Trio sets out to unlock the secrets of the chest. Aided by Grandpa Stone's stories of long ago, information starts to unfold, which beckons The Trio into action as pieces of the puzzle begin to come together. With magic at the helm, the chest starts revealing small clues and The Trio, after being thrust back through time, soon find themselves surrounded by a wizard, a sorceress, knights, and good and evil magical beings. Even though they befriend several unique and unforgettable creatures while traveling through bone-chilling territories and confronting sinister entities, Chelzy, Matthew, and Tory are forced to face their fears in order to survive and, hopefully, succeed in their quest.
