Beskrivelse
Forensic entomology is the science that studies insects, relating them to legal procedures. This science has great importance in the biological and criminal branch, since scavenging insects can be traces and a source of information for investigations. The main objective of this work was to catalog adults from the families of Diptera and Coleoptera, found in the pig cadaver (Sus scrofa) during the decomposition process, associating the meeting of these families with the climatic variables and the post-mortem interval of the animal. The experiment was conducted in the surroundings of the 38th Brazilian Army Infantry Battalion, located in the neighborhood of Prainha, Vila Velha - ES, in an area of Atlantic Forest, close to the sea. The collection period was 19 days, in the rainy season, from December 15, 2016, ending on January 2, 2017. The animal was sacrificed with three shots of a firearm in the cephalic region in order to simulate a violent death. A Malaise type trap was placed over it to allow the entrance of adult insects and their subsequent collection.
