"Chapter House Dune" is the sixth and final novel in Frank Herbert’s bestselling Dune Chronicles, a direct follow-up to Heretics of Dune.
The planet Dune has been destroyed by The Honoured Matres. The Bene Geeserit sisterhood still have their undiscovered home world, Chapter House, breeding sandworms to control the production of the spice melange. Turning into a barren wasteland, Chapter House is going to be the new Dune.
"Chapter House Dune" ends with a Cliffhanger. But as Frank Herbert died in 1986 he never had the opportunity to continue the series. Frank’s son Brian Herbert and his co-writer Kevin J. Anderson published two sequels in 2006 (Hunters of Dune) and 2007 (Sandworms of Dune) partly based on Frank Herbert’s own notes of the next book in the series referred to as “Dune 7”.
The “Chapter House Dune” and the Dune Chronicles in general contains the bestselling science fiction adventure ever and are the inspiration behind the film adaption Dune.
