This book analyses the industrialization process of Jianshanxia, a mountain village in Zhejiang Province and its organizational changes since reform and opening-up. As a small mountain village far from the city, Jianshanxia Village used the village's contingent funds to open up a factory in the village's collective ownership. At that time, running a factory was common in the cities by city dwellers, but it was rare in countryside. The book provides the case study of the village and analysed the reasons that enable the village to quickly occupy a large market share of the domestic electric mosquito incense. The successful industrialization of this village had increased villagers' income, improved the village's appearance and enhanced the village collective economic strength. In retrospective, the transformation of this village was a miracle and a typical example of industrialization of the township enterprises in China.
