After Davie is sent to stay with his overbearing uncle, the only thoughts rushing through the river in his mind are of escape. Because once he is free, then he can begin to put the most important plan of his life into action: his plan to save his brother's life. And he knows just the man who will help him: Jason Walker, the washed-up star of B-Grade action movie Rebel Agent.

 

With the help of his new friend Susie, Davie sets out on a mission to catch his hero. Unfortunately for Davie, things don't go according to plan, and he finds himself caught up in a whirlwind of pop culture conventions, car chases, awards shows, and Hollywood drama.
