Castletown Romance

Isle of Man, 1658. Mariot Bell is uninterested in society, its rules and the expectations of a lady. She is quite content to curl up in a chair in her father's library with a book or take a brisk ride with her trusted horse, Topper, along the cliffs of the Isle losing herself in her thoughts rather than entertaining at dinner parties and attending dances and balls.

Chaucey Bell, her father, encourages her to engage with others in efforts to forge friendships rather than distance herself from the town folk who consider her behavior odd and eccentric for a woman of the times.

A venture to an old woman's hut on the mountain leads she and Sax Collier, a Captain in the military, on a larger quest to discover answers to Mariot's mysterious past and secrets of a bracelet she comes into possession of while she's there.

Mariot is shocked after she finds herself in a place called Musewick faced with an ecclesiastical gnome, fairies, elves and other fanciful creatures of the town. In this land, of ancient muses and Celtic tales, though time has little meaning, the bonds of the past are far-reaching, and Mariot comes to know that life has more to offer than she ever dreamed of.
