Cartimandua

The Iron Age is ending and the Romans are coming... In the bleak Pennines, a daughter of the ruling elite is given to Venutius of the Carvettii to strengthen the Brigantes. Together they face the arrival of the Romans in AD43. As the southern tribes fall, Cartimandua must hold onto on her vast lands, becoming a client-queen, beholden to Emperor Claudius.
