Calliope Grant has been hiding behind a pseudo identity she created for over sixteen years. Known as Miranda Gorman, she worked as an FBI field agent and raised her sixteen year old son, Brandon, alone. Now that he is studying abroad in Australia, she is finally taking time to herself. Her new job as linguistic coordinator in D.C. reunites her with a man from her past. Eric King met Calliope when they were both teenagers and though they only spent a short time together, they were connected. However her new identity is major disruption to their reunion.
