Each title in the Call of the Wild series provides a dynamic examination of the giving and receiving of information that is crucial to a species' survival. Each chapter examines a specific animal group and clearly explains the unique ways in which they communicate in the wild, whether through visual, verbal, chemical, touch, or electrical means. The relationship between animal and human communication is also explored.
