In California, the Contractors State License Board CSLB protects consumers by regulating the construction industry. According to the CSLB, anyone performing construction work in California that totals $500 dollars or more in labor and materials must be licensed. Candidates are required to focus their attentions on a number of construction related topic areas but this study notes will focus on topics related to laws, regulations, contract administration and finance.
