I am a fighter. I never knew what abuse was, because I always fought back. In my mind, victims were the ones who didn't fight back. I was not a victim. I was a young woman from Ben Hill on a continuous search for attention, love, and acceptance. Homeless at 15... Married and parenting at 18... I never knew what is was like to be a teenager. I only knew survival. This story, my story, is a personal vow to stop the abuse that I endured from reaching another generation. This story is my journey through sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and my never-ending fight for resilience.
