Bus Stop Angels

From the author who brought readers Meghan Murphy (Cracks in the Cobblestone) comes a dangerous new mission for the inquisitive yet reluctant reporter. As the school year winds down, Meghan witnesses the neighborhood children getting on the school bus like any other day. Then the bus erratically takes off in a different direction. An accident further down the road halts traffic as well as her thoughts about the children and the errant bus. She later learns the children never made it to school. Meghan does not know the children or their parents by name but regrets not reporting the incident to authorities as more children disappear. Meanwhile, terrorists strike. Meghan is forced to deal with her political nemesis, Nora Huck, and enlists the assistance of her disinterested police pal, Murph, to see if the circumstances are connected. She also questions her new relationship with a man she has known for years, discovering that he might not be who he claims to be. As Meghan's circle of trust shrinks, she tries making amends for her initial inaction in order to find the children before they vanish forever.
