Beskrivelse
Catholic social teaching has guided Catholics for over a century in their work for social justice. The ultimate goal of such work is the undoing of injustice and the creation of a just world. This book analyzes the essential ingredients of a just society, including just structures, power used for service, freedom, equality, active participation, human rights, interdependence, solidarity, respect for life, global vision, pluralism, justice, and action on behalf of justice. The analysis relies on Catholic social thought and is applied to society in general but more particularly to the United States and the Catholic Church.
