When Lewis's immortal ancestor, the Crone, returns, she brings with her grave portents: Lucy is just the first of many victims in the coming days. The spell that first transformed Lewis into a dragon is still going off, and it shows no signs of stopping.

With time running short, the Crone has no choice but to beg Lewis and his friends for help. Lewis doesn't think he's the right dragon for the job, but where else can they turn?
