Beskrivelse
Portland and its main village, Brocton, lie along the shore of Lake Erie, about 45 miles southwest of Buffalo. Here the Concord grape was planted and harvested, railroad sleeping car inventor George
Pullman was born (1831), and the famous double arch for the town's centennial was erected (1913). Brocton and Portland portrays the early life, farming industry, trolley and trains, and important events that have shaped the history of this western New York State community.
