Break, Cake, and Murder

Beulah "Cookie" Simmons never expected to get in an argument with her business partner in the detective agency...and it didn't help that it was also her mother. But if Cookie isn't going to be respected as an equal partner, then maybe it's time that she goes out on her own and start her own detective agency. And hey! It's not that bad. She already has her first client. A worried father who is concerned that his son-in-law is cheating on his daughter. Easy case. Or not when a dead body pops up.
