Join Anna, a 12-year old from London, as she steps through a magic door and into a world plagued by corruption and greed. Anna must overcome challenges aplenty as she finds herself thrust into the role of heroine, responsible for saving the strange land she comes to know and love. Along the way, she meets eccentric characters right out of the pages of storybooks: a mad princess, a dashing lord, and a dark villain. Will Anna succeed in her quest to reunite the Royal Siblings and save the world?
As intruders enter their home, Anna's mother pushes her out the door from the root cellar whispering, "Be strong and follow the Compass."
The door leads not to the outside, but down a dark passage to a land where magic lies far beyond Anna's wildest imagination- where royal siblings who are engaged in a bitter struggle to rule the world must be brought together by the Star Compass- the legendary instrument that Anna's mother shoved in her backpack and told her to follow.
