Born in Africa, Conceived in Heaven is the story of one man's journey to fatherhood, a journey that took Dan to many unexpected places and experiences that stretched him as a person, a husband and a Christian. Dan readily admits that there were many times he "could not see the path forward." If not for a profound sense that God was calling so directly to adopt John and Nya, Dan says the only logical thing to do would have been to give up.
