Beskrivelse

Boomer's Walk is a deeply moving story of growing up in post World War 2 England. Poverty being forced on his family by an abusive, self-serving, father. The book is replete with anecdotes depicting the misery and fun of those times; told as a personal journey from poverty towards a future of promise. Toma tells of finding just one or two people he could trust whilst trying to avoid the pains associated with a loveless family. By leaving home at 15 to join the Royal Air Force as a boy entrant, life re-started. He informs us of the pain and shame he endured, and his treatment by a corrupt law enforcer, who was envious of his successes. The book highlights challenges that follow a spiritual awakening. He gives account of people he knew; from various political leaders in England to his contact with President Clinton in the USA, and the influence they had in his life. Toma's journey through life brought him into contact with many 'makers and shakers' of society, from the rich and powerful to those with nothing; yet treating all the same; quoting that the grave is a great leveller, where everyone is financially the same - penniless
