What is Poetic Shamanism?
Because we often white-knuckle language and the use of words and vocabulary, we can unknowingly create limiting structures of belief grounded in linguistic programs that we unconsciously and even cultishly follow and worship. Through this, language can often take on a viral quality, infecting us with ideology, belief and even meaning, and on an even more metaphysical level trap and magically curse us.
Poetic Shamanism is the use of lyrical linguistics, and surrealist poetry to bypass the conscious minds logic controls and create hyper sensitive and very potent connections with subconscious mind/SOURCE! Poetic Shamanism is a form of channeling through Automatic Writing, inspired by the late Austin Osman Spare and his Automatic Drawing works that he often made and used in his occult workings. This method is also referred to as Surrealist Automatism, a technique in which the artist suppresses/releases conscious control over the making process, allowing the unconscious mind to emerge.
