Beskrivelse
University Press returns with another short and captivating biography of one of history's most compelling figures, Bob Woodward.
Bob Woodward is one of the most accomplished investigative journalists of the 20th and 21st centuries. As young reporters for The Washington Post, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein investigated and broke stories on the Watergate scandal, which eventually culminated in the resignation of President Richard Nixon. After Watergate, Woodward wrote 18 best-selling books about American politics and current affairs, won the Pulitzer Prize - twice, and was described by Fred Barnes as "the best pure reporter of his generation, perhaps ever."
Bob Woodward was born in Geneva, Illinois on March 26, 1943, raised by his father - a judge, attended Yale, became a member of the Book and Snake secret society, served a five year tour of duty in the United States Navy, was trusted to handle the nuclear launch codes, got in to Harvard Law School, decided instead to work as a reporter for The Washington Post, and the rest is history.
This short book tells the intensely human story of a man who is changing the world in a way that no one else can.
