Fifty-five year old Lydia Cassidy is convinced that she's happy living all alone with her three cats, enjoying her online quilt shop in rural Tennessee. After finding something curious sitting on the side of the road, she reluctantly calls upon the local sheriff's office for help. She is expecting to open the door to grumpy old Sheriff Baker, a man she had prior and unpleasant dealings with in the past. Lydia is pleasantly surprised to see a younger and certainly more attractive man in uniform on her front porch. When she gazes into the dazzling blue eyes of Tom Justice, she senses there is bigger trouble on her horizon than just what she found on the road. Fifty-eight year old Tom Justice is the new sheriff in town, tall as a mountain, ruggedly handsome and being hotly pursued by all the local singles. From his first meeting with the old lady quilt maker, Tom makes no bones about his attraction to Lydia Cassidy. He is unaware that she has sworn off all men after two failed relationships and one bad marriage. Tom will set out to win her heart and earn her trust, while they work in secret together to solve the mystery of what she found sitting on Blue Eyed Mary Road. This is a sweet love story between two imperfect mature adults and will take many emotional twists and humorous turns before the story concludes.
