Helena is the princess and only heir to the throne of the Wolves of the Western World. Her heart yearns for love, not power, and hopes to find her true mate someday. While wolves may leave the cloaked palace to walk amongst humans, they are forbidden from revealing themselves or mating with them, and either action could be punishable by death.

Christoph feels adrift with no real direction for his life after school. Wanting to help, his parents send him hundreds of miles away to spread his wings with a job landed by his dad. Little did he know his whole life would be turned upside down after a chance encounter with a mysterious woman.

After the two meet, Helena questions everything she thought and knows she can't deny what she feels for Christoph. When old secrets are revealed, she has to decide whether she is willing to give up life as she knows it, or the one thing she always longed for-her true mate. And for once in his life, Christoph is certain of one thing...he can't live without her.
