Beskrivelse
Since I started writing I have produced over 2 million words. First is a news reporter, then as a columnist until I eventually became a blogger and magazine contributor and finally produced two books. Throughout that time there has been one fairly constant criticism: I point out what's wrong without giving any solutions. My last book Lone Gunman: Rewriting the Handbook on Workplace Violence Prevention was full of how to do it right, but for whatever reason people just didn't want to talk about that. I'm back with my best work yet on worker safety and in it I have endeavored to share solutions to many of the things that we flat out get wrong in safety.
I've also tried to build in practical tips for managers. By leveraging my many years spent in Organizational Development and Training, I sought to share real-world skills that anyone within or outside the Safety Function can use to improve workplace efficiency, because an efficient workplace is a safe workplace.
People are talking about the new normal. The new normal is ours to build, and in my arrogance I believe that this book can be used as a blueprint to help you build your new normal. It's captivating, infuriating, self-deprecating, insulting, innovative, and sometimes even funny; but it's never boring.
Enjoy it or hate it but read it. If you like it, recommend it. If you hate it give it to someone you dislike.
