The experiences of Black francophones in Alberta. Drawing on the qualitative analysis of numerous documents and interviews, the book explores how Black francophones hailing from sub-Saharan Africa who live in the predominantly anglophone province of Alberta construct multiple identities based on language, race, and citizenship while facing racism and multiple forms of exclusion.
