Beskrivelse
Birds in Words and Images is a fully illustrated paperback book of birds which contains original poems, silhouettes and colored illustrations of a variety of species of birds. Eleven different species of birds are represented, from common bird species such as blue jays and pigeons, to exotic species such as toucans and hummingbirds. It includes both land birds and water birds, like pelicans and anhingas, and soaring predators such as kestrels. There are flightless birds like penguins, garden variety species like cardinals, and tropical species like flamingos and parakeets. Each bird species has its own full-size artwork page, plus a little poem that gives some factual information about the bird. The poetry also conveys why we love birds and how they touch our lives. This is a book for bird lovers everywhere. Please note that Barbara's bird illustrations are also available for sale as art prints.
