The book is based on the syllabus developed to teach Biotechnology as an optional subject for the undergraduate students in the Indian Universities. At present there are only few text books available to cater the needs of the undergraduates in India. We hooe the book fulfills this gap. At the eand of each chapter a few iportant refernces are given for future consultations.
