Beskrivelse
This book contains six chapters that detail advances in the research and applications of biocomposites. Chapter One discusses calcium orthophosphate (CaPO4) biocomposites with natural and synthetic polymers suitable for biomedical applications. Chapter Two provides a summary of the recent advances in the development of boron biomaterials that respond to specific biomedical applications. Chapter Three reveals the current findings on biocomposite materials used in the field of orthodontics. The goal of Chapter Four is to determine the effects of multi-wall carbon nanotubes and calcined Sepia Officinalis cuttlefish bone hydroxyapatite as reinforcing material. Chapter Five provides information on various literature that reported on drug release studies of naturally-synthesized hydroxyapatite composites. Lastly, Chapter Six discusses the advantages of dental bioceramics, their compositions, biological evolutions, and how their physical properties relate to clinical findings.
