The book also examines the biblical and theological foundations for encouraging growth and breaking down the barriers that inhibit growth. Throughout the Scriptures, we see that embracing change and breaking down barriers to growth is part of the journey to living out God's will and purpose for the people of God. In the Old Testament, the nation of Israel embraced change and broke down barriers to growth to become the nation that God wanted them to be. In the New Testament, the early church embraced change and broke down barriers to become the light of the world, testifying to the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
