The book of Joshua culminates the redemption begun in Exodus. Possession" is the key word here. Although God granted them the land, they had to fight to take it and enjoy it. Moses had taught the people that success depended on their obedience to the Word. God chose Joshua for this mission. His name, which means "savior," evokes the Lord Jesus Christ. In contrast, Moses symbolized the law, which alone cannot save, so Joshua replaced him. From this book emerge vital lessons about our "spiritual warfare" to enjoy the blessings that God has granted us. the faithfulness of God.
