Betrayed by Choices tells the story of experiencing unspeakable tragedy and betrayal and a family's journey from disbelief, through trauma, to forgiveness and redemption.When Jim Buffington was only twelve years old, he suffered a tremendous loss due to an execution style murder in his family. The devastation was indescribable. A year later, while still working through his grief, he was dealt another adversity and the family entered the criminal justice system. Jim journeyed a long road of pain and betrayal that would lead most to a life of withdrawal, depression, and bitterness. However, Jim chose another path, one of healing and forgiveness and has helped many crime victims, as well as offenders in prisons.
