This volume surveys the most recent work of D sseldorf painter Bernd Finkeldei (born 1947). Quiet and modest, Finkeldei's canvases focus on those modest objects that populate the painter's studio--not only the expected utensils, trestles, buckets and paint mixed on palettes, but also stray food items, a phone and even a vacuum cleaner.
